About Pirin Wines
Pirin Wines is a family owned vineyard with 13 gold medals and 8 silver medals that was founded in 1973 in San Luis Obispo and is the areas greatest vineyards. Situated on 6 acres, we often produce just under 1700 cases of amazing wine every year. Encircled by award-winning vineyards, the loveliness of this unique winery is as appealing as its red wines. Pirin Wines’s extraordinary vinters, along with historical vineyards, combine to generate wines that truly express the nature of this famous region.
We think that our winery is the nicest vineyards you will ever have the opportunity to visit. As you read in the many wine club reviews online, our wine is absolutely superb and the good people that work here are quite friendly and helpful. The vineyard is open almost every day of the year, 6 days a week, making it quite convenient to visit almost any time you need your white wine fix. With 14 to 16 memorable wines available for tasting, you’re sure to find a wine you love. In addition to our amazing Merlot, we also offer delicious sandwiches, cold beer and a few mixed drinks. We also have a large indoor seating area and 2 gorgeous outdoor terraces that overlook the vineyard and the rolling countryside. These are nice locations to drink one of our amazing bottles of white wine.
Our amazing wines are made exclusively with high-quality grapes from our family run vineyard and made in an organic, balanced style that is great for the environment. We use winemaking techniques that preserve our wines nuances and highlight the cherished qualities of our white wines. We always harvest our grapes days before any of our neighbors do and usually rely on the organic yeasts from our vineyard for fermentation. It’s our belief that making world class wines is a full circle process that relies equally on healthy and organic soil, 100% natural winemaking and doing whats right for our customers.

How To Choose A Wine Fridge For Your Collection of Pirin Wines
Most wine fridges are fine for keeping bottles that you plan to drink within 1-2 years, but for long term aging, you really should consider investing in more expensive units. What the investment gives you is better insulation, which helps keep the necessary 55 degree temperature and 50-70 percent humidity perfectly suited for storing wine for the long haul. Remember, humidity is just as important as the fridge’s temperature. If its too low then the corks will dry out. If its too high, mold will flourish|grow}. Here’s everything else you should take into consideration:
WINE BOTTLE CAPACITY: The easiest way to choose the right wine cooler for your wines is to narrow down your choice by wine bottle count. The bottle count is the number of bottles you will want to store in your wine cooler. When you purchase a wine fridge you always want to buy a unit that is slightly bigger than your current capacity. A good way to decide what size refrigerator you ought to purchase is to think about the total amount of space you think you need, then double it since your wine collection will most likely continue to grow. You should also keep in mind that bottles of Burgundy and Champagne are larger than your average wine bottle and thus will require additional space.
WINE REFRIGERATOR BRAND: Another important decision you will have to make is which wine fridge brand you want to limit yourself to. Some wine fridge buyers are determined to only using wine fridges from N’FINITY while other swear by Le Cache. Whatever you decide, there are 7 main wine refrigerator brands that you can’t go wrong with. These 7 are EuroCave, Silent Wine Refrigerators, Trilogy, VinoView, N’FINITY, Vinotheque Wine Cellars and Le Cache. By sticking with one of these 7 wine refrigerator brands, you will be sure to get a quality wine cooler that you won’t be disappointed with.
WINE REFRIGERATOR LOCATION: There are 3 major options for where to put your wine fridge and each choice has its own pros & cons. The 1st option is to locate your wine cooler on your kitchen countertop. These wine coolers are obviously really easy to instal as they are about the size of a large microwave. They do not take up much room and they’re really easy to relocate if you ever need to. They are also really quiet and efficient because of their rather small size. The downside of a countertop wine fridge is that they usually only fit 6-12 bottles of wine and they are really only designed to store wine bottles for a maximum of 2 years. Your second option is to put in a medium sized unit under your kitchen cabinetry. These wine refrigerators are often the size of a dishwasher and therefore fit in that space perfectly. While not as easy to install compared to the countertop units, these wine fridges last years longer and are always able to get wine down to cooler temperatures because they’re compressor driven. The third option is to buy a much larger wine cooler that is either freestanding or installed into your cabinetry. These larger wine fridges have the greatest holding capacity, run the quietest, are 100% vibration free and are the priciest wine fridges available.
WINE FRIDGE PRICE: Your final deciding factor for which wine refrigerator you ought to buy is all dependent on your budget. As you would expect, the higher the price you are willing to pay, the nicer the wine cooler will be. The larger the price, the larger the capacity of the wine fridge, the superior the wine refrigerator insulation, the better the compressor for keeping a stable temperature and humidity level, the superior the shelving, the lower the vibrations, etc. Brace yourself, because wine fridges can range in price from $130 for a countertop wine cooler to up to $16K for the top of the line freestanding wine cooler.
